POSITION
Summary:
Performs repetitive inspection and auditing operations in fabrication and assembly areas to ensure conformance with design requirements and established specifications.
Major Action and Support Action:
Performs work as identified in the Inspector & Inspector-Production classifications.
Must be able to perform and complete, without guidance, First Articles of Inspection (AS9102), inspection of articles received from suppliers, and Final Inspection of completed articles prior to delivery to the customers.
Must be proficient with blueprints, applicable specifications, processes, procedures, materials, work instructions, and Weber Process Specifications.
Must be able to assist and direct the work of lower grade inspectors by determining procedures to be used and assist in making the necessary setups.
Must be able to perform complete layouts and conformity inspections to determine conformance of article.
Must have sufficient knowledge to work in any inspection area in the facility without detailed instruction on techniques, duties, and responsibilities.
May be required by Quality Assurance Management to become trained and qualified in Process Laboratory inspection or certified as a Level I Magnetic Penetrant Inspector.
Must be able to perform other duties as required.
Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s).
Performs safety related duties as assigned.

Candidate skills & requirements QUALIFICATIONSoHigh School diploma or equivalent required.
oThree to five years of related experience required - equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
oRequires a thorough understanding of shop practices, processes and procedures.
oMust be able to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
oMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and apply to work situations.
oEmployee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
