Job Description Support, develop and drive identification and execution of corrective actions and opportunities of improvements with underperforming suppliers for Safran Seats USA with a focus on maximizing supplier performance in Quality & Delivery and minimizing supplier risk while supporting reduction in total acquisition cost. 2) Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
A) Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives, conduct supplier performance reviews, administer supplier scorecards and participate in supplier business reviews. B) Engage as a Supply Management liaison between various operations functions and suppliers and drive process improvement. C) Abide and develop best practices in performance of supplier assessments/audits in support of the supplier selection process for Direct Material sourcing and New Product Development. D) Participate in qualification, transition, and onboarding of direct material suppliers E) Develop processes and tools for measurement of supplier performance (Score carding) and for management and tracking of actions toward resolution of performance issues. F) Develop and administer supplier training in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, SSUSA process, capacity measurement, supplier lean mythologies, etc. G) Understand and interpret cost breakdowns of suppliers. You will achieve agreement with the supplier on current cost elements based on facts observable on the shop floor, with supervision. H) Develop and implement best practices in ongoing supplier evaluations via onsite and remote assessment of existing supplier processes, capacity, capability, management systems, engineering, supply management and other processes. I) Assure compliance with Safran Seats USA ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System as it pertains to Strategic Sourcing functions. J) Track and report Supplier Development project progress and results. Job Requirements Education and
Experience:
i) Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business or Six (6) years equivalent education or experience required. A Lean Experience and a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) is desired. ii) Additionally Ten (10) years of either Supplier Development, Supply Management, Supplier Quality or other area of expertise with direct supplier performance management in an industrial manufacturing environment. Competencies:
Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies, also having basic understanding of prepared financial statements is a plus. Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English. Reasoning Ability:
A demonstrated ability to think and act quickly and creatively to resolve major supply disruptions affecting customers. Physical Demands:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job. Specificity of the job International and/or Domestic travel required.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
